About the event

Our speaker this month is Tara Panasewicz, CEO of the Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha.

Tara was born and raised in Kenosha attending grade school at Holy Rosary and High School at St. Joes. With a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Concordia University (Magna Cum Laude), Tara also brings 20 years of banking and management experience to her role as CEO of Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha, their stakeholders, the community, and Boards she serves. Leadership is a very important value for Tara and she is constantly looking for opportunities to grow so in 2006, she participated in and graduated from Racine’s Leadership Racine Program.

Tara also views Racine as a second home, spending 14 years working and volunteering in the community.  While working in Racine, she served as Vice President on the Board of Directors for Family Service of Racine, while also participating as a committee member for their Dancing with Our Stars fundraiser; Racine Founders Rotary as Chair of community service and additionally as Chair of their largest Fundraiser, Vegas Night; and on the Board and events committee for the Racine YMCA. In addition, she held the Chair positions for Young Professionals of Racine, Bark for Life of Racine, and the Racine Policeman's Ball.

Tara currently serves as President of the Board of Directors for Band of Blue, Officer for Racine Area Manufacturers and Commerce Foundation Board, Lakeside Curative Services and Building Our Future committee member. In recognition of her volunteer and fundraising efforts, Tara was honored as the 2013 Young Professional of the Year for Racine Area Manufacturers and Commerce, the 2012 Community Service Award winner for Johnson Financial Group and was a 2016 Community Trustee Honoree for the Journal Times Positively Racine Publication.
